Senior Geologist Job (Geologist Manager Job), East Kalimantan, Indonesia Kalimantan Timur

Monroe Consulting Group is working on behalf a major Indonesian coal-mining company that envisages expanding operations into the power-generation industry. This company is seeking an accomplished geologist with senior management experience for the position of Senior Geologist. The position will be based primarily in East Kalimantan.

Responsibilities: Plan and direct early stage exploration activities Oversee all aspects related to exploration of the company’s projects, including land management, data management and maintenance of technical standards Produce geological and other technical documents as required for all aspects of exploration requirements Conduct mapping and sampling qualities, quantities, etc, of coal seams Provide detailed reports and documentation Maintain and review the geological data to ensure information is always up-to-date Assist with planning, scheduling and budgeting of the exploration strategy Ensure all data obtained is reviewed and assessed prior to presenting data to project manager Ensure operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures Establish standards and processes for all geological and quality testing Manage mapping and testing programs according to budget requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in geology or related field Five years experience (minimum) in geologist management Hold POP/POM/POU certification Familiar with mining exploration software applications Expertise in planning and executing seismic survey and processing Familiar with each stage of life-of-field cycles English fluency is a must All applications will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
